Opening "Space Cascades - The Artist Erich Franke"

Today's opening of our exhibition "Space Cascades - The Artist Erich Franke" We thank all visitors for the interresting opening day. Our special thanks goes to Thilo Hermann, Erich Franke's close friend and estate administrator, who was present during the whole day and told artlovers about the painter's life.
 

Opening hours for the GALLERY WEEKEND: friday and saturday, 12 a.m. - 8 p.m., sunday 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Opening "Summerdays on Ischia"

Today's opening of our exhibition "Summer Days on Ischia" was different than usual and yet together with numerous art lovers we were able to experience the atmosphere of the summers in the 30s, 50s and 60s on the Italian island. The artworks by Ulrich Neujahr, Eduard Bargheer and Hermann Poll stimulated discussions about art, travel and experiences in Italy. We thank all visitors for the interesting exchange and the delightful opening day.

Current exhibition extended

Our current exhibition "...from above - Zuzanna Skiba and Werner Drimecker" will be extended until Juni 13.

We're open again!

As of wednesday, April 22, 2020 the gallery is open again at the usual times from tuesday to saturday from 12 to 6 p.m. In our current exhibition "...from above - Zuzanna Skiba and Werner Drimecker" we present paintings and works on paper at the interface between art and cartography. We look forward to your visit.

Coronavirus: information

We are very sorry that, due to the current situation, we will have to close the gallery from Monday, March 16, until further notice.

Opening "...from above - Zuzanna Skiba and Werner Drimecker"

Together with numerous visitors and in the presence of the artist Zuzanna Skiba, we opened our exhibition "...from above" tonight. We were happy to welcome Ursula Wulff, Werner Drimecker's (1928-2011) partner. She recited two poems dedicated to her ausband's work. We thank the art historian Dr. Dorothée Bauerle-Willert for the interesting introduction to the work of Zuzuanna Skiba and Werner Drimecker. 

Zuzanna Skiba and Werner Drimecker not only shared their professional background as cartographers, but also a decades-long friendship. [Nbsp] In this first joint exhibition, their artworks continue - though wordlessly but in an eloquent manner - the dialogue that they once had led together.
