About

The salon gallery "Die Möwe" presents modern art of the 20th century. The focus lies on artists whose creative work, due to historical events, has largely been unjustly overlooked. In addition to its shows, the gallery arranges salon evenings to acquaint visitors with the lives and works of selected artists. These evenings feature a mix of various genres.

Artists

Many painters, graphic artists and sculptors, who are shown in the gallery, were members of avant-garde artists’ associations like the legendary Storm Circle, initiated by Herwarth Walden, the November Group and the Bauhaus. The gallery focuses on the rediscovery of these outstanding and influential artists.
