About

The salon gallery "Die Möwe" presents modern art of the 20th century. The focus lies on artists whose creative work, due to historical events, has largely been unjustly overlooked. In addition to its shows, the gallery arranges salon evenings to acquaint visitors with the lives and works of selected artists. These evenings feature a mix of various genres.

Artists

Many painters, graphic artists and sculptors, who are shown in the gallery, were members of avant-garde artists’ associations like the legendary Storm Circle, initiated by Herwarth Walden, the November Group and the Bauhaus. The gallery focuses on the rediscovery of these outstanding and influential artists.

Upcoming

In the current exhibition "Bold Women. On Passion and Resistance in Art", we are showing seven pioneering women of classical modernism and post-war art. You can find us until 12 April 2025 as well as on 23 and 24 April at Kurfürstendamm 71 on the 1st floor, directly at Adenauerplatz underground station. We are open for you from 2 - 6 pm and look forward to your visit.
